When Vic O'Callaghan returned from his Light of Torah tour to the Holy Land in 2010, he set about turning his reflections into a book. We are delighted to launch the fruit of his labours, "Days of Passion", and also "The Jesse Tree" at a Light of Torah gathering on Feb 10. More

The current Torah cycle: 2011-2012

The current Light of Torah leaflet series (our third) commenced 22 October 2011 with Genesis 1:1.

In addition to the usual weekly leaflet, this year we offer:

A Haftarah page. (Haftarah refers to the prophetic reading which accompanies the Torah reading in the Jewish lectionary)

A single page Torah article. Similar content to the usual weekly leaflet but rewritten as a magazine-style article and also offered as  a 5min podcast.

Recommended: The Jewish and Christian Liturgical Calendar for 2011-2012 | 5772-5773. It presents the readings for both Jewish and Christian lectionaries on the one calendar. A beautifully produced resource with full color photos of the Holy Land. Now available from Etz Hayim-Tree of Life Publishing.
